Veechi Corp. connects employers with college students and new graduates using an information and technology platform that produces “best fits.” College students use tools to present themselves to employers and identify jobs, while employers use tools to find and evaluate qualified candidates.

Current products include Veechi Classes™, a Facebook® application, and Job Genius™, a web service. Both are designed for college students. (Check back regularly for additions).

We work for college students, and our current products are designed just for them.We also work for College Career Centers, helping them help students succeed and get jobs and internships.

And we also work for employers. Right now, our products help students present themselves and discover employers, but in time out products will help employers discover students as well.

Finally, we work for our employees. We want our jobs to be an important and rewarding part of our lives.

Way back in 2007, a Cal student was frustrated with web-based course rating applications. Though they were popular, they didn’t inform as much as they entertained.

He contacted a good friend from Stanford (yes, Stanford and Cal students can be friends) and decided to create a better product. And thus, Veechi and the Facebook application Veechi Classes was born.

A year later, armed with seasoned executives and investor funding, the company determined that today’s students were not being served well in the annual quest to find a good job. And thus, a series of initiatives were put in place that are now products – like Job Genius.

Veechi realizes that students are smart and sophisticated, and so are employers. But the tools available for a student to find the best possible job openings, and for an employer to find the best fitting candidates, are vintage 2006. Maybe 1976. And we’re changing that.

About our name. . . . We won’t bore you with the 175 other names we considered! We chose Veechi because of the Roman connection. Julius Caesar said “I came, I saw, I conquered.” (well, he actually said it in Latin – “Veni, vidi, vici.”) We thought “Veechi” or “I conquered,” was a good way to summarize how we’re empowering students and employers to succeed. And it was easy to remember. And the web site was available. We hope you like it.

We’re located in the San Jose, California area. Some of the brightest engineers, product designers, information architects, social network specialists, and marketers work here. Additionally, we have a board of directors and advisors filled with industry experts, and we’re supported by professional venture investors.
